Psychic spies from China try to steal your mind's elation

Yeah, yeah I know. I used another song line for a title. It's from RHCP's Californication. Very good song, by the way. Song lines do make for very good titles you know. Especially when nothing overall exciting happens in your day and you need something to spice it up.
Today, basically, I slept. Made up for lost sleep I guess you'd say. I got up at about a quarter to two. Went upstairs, found a note that said to take care of the horses, did that, watched a bit of TV, and came back up to the house. My parents were home from Tessa's basketball games by then and were getting ready to leave for a party tonight. Tessa was at her friend Kelsey's (hah!) house for a birthday.
So Clair, Austin and I went down to Wags to rent a movie for tonight. I got that movie "Valiant" about the pigeons for them, and "Into the Blue" for me. Mom and Dad left at about six thirty. We watched Valiant after supper and then I sent Clair and Austin to bed. Now I'm getting ready to go and watch my movie. So that's my day. Exciting, eh?
I was right, the varsity girls lost to PoP last night. Actually at the half we were winning, it was a solid first half. But then in the second half girls must've just gotten the wind kicked out of them because it was all downhill from there. Not to say that the girls played horrible. Solid defense and all, but for some reason we just couldn't hold out. I guess it's ok though because the PoP girls were 10 and 0 so that gives us a bit of an excuse. Boys won though. Good game too. Chase played really well last night, I thought, and Ben was in a lot. Derek scored a three too, which made the crowd absolutely explode. Derek's quite the crowd pleaser.
The Marquette games are Monday and Tuesday next week. It's kind of wierd because we really haven't gotten all worked up about them yet. Last year we were selling "chew big red" buttons all week beforehand, but I barely knew the games were coming up this year. JV is on monday and Varsity is on tuesday, and honestly, I have no clue who will win. Our jv boys are great this year, they could have a chance. But I don't know about the rest.
