BELLEVUE COMET VARSITY GIRLS TEAM BEAT MARQUETTE TONIGHT!!!! WOOOOO! Wow, what a night. We were up for a large majority of the game, up at halftime, but then in the fourth quarter they pulled ahead. Luckily they fouled us and Lindsey scored both of her free throws... causing a tie. We held Marquette off long enough, and yessss... OVERTIME! And we kicked their asses! Woop! Definately a good night in that regard.
In other news... the varsity guys lost by 6 points in the 4th quarter... after being up the whole game (which is what sucks the most). But it was a very well-played game all in all. My throat is very sore at this point from all the screaming I did. And I did a lot of it. Chase made the vast majority of our points, and fouled out in the fourth quarter, which hurt us a bit. But it was a fun game. I stood by Kristen and boy did she scream! Fun stuff.
So I've decided that I'm going to explain the story about this girl who I have been talking about. Chances are, she'll never see this anyway, so I shouldn't worry. But if she does, then I guess it's out in the open. I'll change names for the heck of it, but if she sees this I'm sure she'll know who she is.
So I have this friend who I'll call "Calvin" (anyone who knows her will see the amusing aspect of this). Calvin and I started doing things together a lot about a year and a half ago. I would definately consider her to be my best friend. This year started off great, Calvin and I were doing stuff together all the time and she was a great friend. Then, during volleyball season, she started hanging out with "Judy" after school before games and such. Since Calvin lives over a half hour away from Bellevue, she can't really go home a lot when she needs to be back in town. When there were morning volleyball practices, Calvin would go to Judy's house to shower before school. At first this didn't bother me. Judy's definately not the most popular girl around, and I figured Calvin was just going there because they were friendly and just because it was a place to go. But then they started hanging out more and more... it seemed pretty casual for a while and I still wasn't too worried. Although it did bug me that Judy seemed to tag along ALL THE TIME... I figured Cal was being nice and I was her best friend, so it was all ok. Then she ended up going out to homecoming dinner with us... AS A FIFTH WHEEL. I had a date, Cal has a boyfriend so obviously she had a date... and there was Judy. Along for the night. Grrrr.
And from then on it's been slowly but surely escalating into an actual problem. Like as in a Cal-goes-to-judy's-house-all-the-time-and-seems-to-like-spending-time-with-her-more type of problem. And I truly don't understand it.
I don't want to be a jealous friend. God knows I have no problem with Cal having other friends. But I just didn't expect to be REPLACED. The worst part is, this is all some kind of sick joke to Judy. She seems to ENJOY moving in on my life and completely taking over. She's so fucking competitive it's not even funny.
Take today for example. Now, in Spanish class we have no seating chart. But everyone sits in pretty much the same spot all the time. Judy sits in back with Lindsey S., and Leah, Kara, and I sit in the front. We all sit in the same spots EVERY STINKING DAY... but when Lindsey's gone, Judy comes up and sits in the spot where I SIT. Even though there's a completely empty desk right across from me. So I take the empty desk. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't bug me that she sat in my desk... I'm not that anal. It bugs me that she DELIBERATELY challenged me by sitting in a spot where she KNOWS I sit every class, while there's an empty desk where no one ever sits right next to it.
Well, leah's mad at Judy right now as well, and she and I were on our way to class. I go "ten bucks says she sat in my desk just to challenge me." and she agreed. So when we got in there we both just laughed. It was actually pretty amusing. I pretty much tried to ignore Judy the entire time because I despise her and I didn't feel like dealing with her... even though we were sitting face to face.
So now you know my dilemma. The whole Calvin-Judy-me triangle. I've almost just given up on it now, I'm so discouraged at this point. There are days now when me an Calvin don't say a single word to each other (when we don't see each other much) and at the last two basketball games I sat with Lindsey, Kara, Courtney, Cassie, and all the other basketball girls. And I have fun, so I guess it's ok. But it does bug me that Calvin hasn't really seemed to be upset at all that we haven't been talking much. And maybe that's what she wanted, who knows? All I know is that if there comes a time when we're not friends anymore, that's going to be a huge chunk of my highschool- gone. And I'm going to have to redecorate my room... because the majority of my pictures are of me and Cal. Go figure.
(If you read all of that... you might as well give me some advise since you were patient enough to read the whole thing. There's actually a lot more to the story but I've put the important stuff in. Sorry if it was at all confusing. But I really needed to vent. And the reason I said it was worth your time was that now you know a lot about my life right now. A lot.)
By the way... the writing's in BLUE AND WHITE to celebrate BELLEVUE COMET GIRLS BEATING MARQUETTE FINALLY!!! YEAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
