Defying Gravity

Being friends with a large number of chicago-ites makes for a lot of things they have ALL done that I have not. For instance, most of my friends have seen the Broadway musical Wicked. This includes Chase, Dan, and Jenn (although she is Iowan and saw the show in NY.) So when we went to Chicago for the Motion City show, we decided that we should go sometime. Well, I was excited because I've heard so many people love it, but I wasn't just dying to see it then. NOW, I am.

On the trip home from Chicago, we listened to the soundtrack, and I fell in love. I burned it from Jenn as soon as I could and have been listening to it non-stop ever since! It is the most amazing thing I think I've ever heard. It's really breathtaking, actually. I have decided that we will be going to the show before April when it leaves Chicago, and that's all there is to it. I can't wait.

And I realize this is a very odd thing to write about on New Year's eve, especially when for me (with the time change in South Carolina), it is my first post of the year, but it just seemed to be on my mind. It's really great, and I highly reccommend getting the soundtrack to anyone who hasn't heard it!
