Plasma

Well, you know that you are desperate for money when you face something you hate in order to earn some extra cash. Besides just getting a temp job in May, I have now decided to start donating plasma for more money. And I hate needles. I have my appointment tonight during which they will draw blood and check other things to make sure I am a-ok for donation. Then I will schedule my first donation appointment. They pay $20 for the first donation, and $40 for the second. Donation can be given 2 times in a seven-day period, so that's an extra $60 I can make each week. Not something I wanted to do, but I really need the money. Actually I really wanted to get the appointment for the physical and first donation at the same time, but the only time they could give me today was 2:00 and I was talking to them at 1:50. So there was no way I could get in by 2. But at 6 tonight I will be having blood drawn, which I'm not looking forward to. But hey, I need the money! Plus, on the bright side I'll be saving a life. Yay.

Also news in my life, Amanda's friend Ashlee called me yesterday to ask me if I would like to go in on an apartment downtown with her for next year rather than live in the condo with Jenn and Amanda. While I did want to live with Jenn, I am now seriously considering the apartment idea. I wish it would have come up sooner, because apartments downtown are hard to find in Iowa City, but hopefully we can find something. I'm pretty excited to look, and to hopefully get that experience of moving into an apartment of my own, where I can have my own stuff there.

There is so much going on right now I can hardly keep up!
