College... it's a rush

I am supposed to be revising a paper that is due tomorrow evening. However, in an effort to uphold my reputation as a procrastinator, I have spent my morning watching episodes of the new ABC show, Greek. And it is SUCH a guilty pleasure. There is so much drama in this show, but it's just so great! I guess it's more enjoyable than writing a paper about sabotage. Although I probably won't be happy with that statement later tonight...

Spring

With the winter we have been having, I think it goes without saying that this wonderful weather lately has been much needed. It's amazing that just a few degrees of warmth can go so far. Just walking outside makes me happy.

Not to mention the fact that I will be going to beautiful Orlando Florida in just 3 days! Even though I've spent yesterday and today cooped up in my room working on the massive amounts of homework that seem to come out of nowhere the week before spring break, I feel like nothing can get me down! I finally finished my portfolio for Design that is due tonight, and I'm satisfied with the tweaking I've done to my rough draft for Literature. I haven't even done anything great today, but I still feel so good!

Now I'm off to class, after which I'll be packing to go home (only to pack more). I'm in such an optimistic mood that I am even excited to clean my room and pack. I never would have thought that day would come!

Woah, I should be packing!

So I was looking at my calendar today and I realized that spring break is in less than 2 weeks! I have a TON of laundry to do, and then I need to pack the summer-y contents of my closet in order to be semi-ready for Florida! I have left a lot of my tank tops and flip flops at home in order to save closet space during the winter, but i still do have several things here that need to be packed. Our plane leaves on the 15th, and that means that Friday the 14th I need to book it out of Iowa City in order to pack my things up! Not only do I have to pack to leave here, but also to leave Iowa! Which I am certainly not complaining about. With the teasing weather of this Iowa winter, I am perfectly ready to have 8 days in the sun in Florida!

In fact, I may leave on Thursday, the 13th in order to pack. I have only one class on Fridays and it happens to be a lecture that I can get by without. At least I can look up the notes online and study from those. I have a feeling that lecture will be fairly empty the Friday before spring break.

I am so ready for this winter to disappear!
